14-Year-Old Girl Who Killed Uber Driver Sentenced to Only 7 years.

14-Year-Old Girl Who Killed Uber Driver Sentenced to Only 7 years.

In what is now seen as a case of restorative justice, if you are not white, then you should get a break due to your race; courts sentenced a 14-year-old girl who killed a Uber driver while holding hun up with a gun, stole his car, and rammed him against another vehicle, killing him.

A 14-year-old girl was sentenced on Tuesday to seven years in juvenile detention for her role in the botched Washington, DC, carjacking that left a 66-year-old Uber Eats driver dead, a report said.

The teen, who had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Mohammad Anwar, will be held at a juvenile detention center until she turns 21, Fox 5 DC reported.

Is this what restorative justice is? We are told there is sentencing disparity, even though there are reasons most wish to ignore, such as the overwhelming rates of murder, rape, armed robberies, and assaults by black males, now they are saying, “Because you commit so many crimes, we are going to give you easier sentences.” This is equal justice?

We are going not only to see people who should get more significant sentencing, thus releasing them early to a society they can prey upon, but we are also going to see hostilities in prison rise as inmates of other races start to resent that one race is given lighter sentences due to the color of their skin. This is not seeking justice; what we are doing is making excuses for bad behavior, then rewarding it.

The girl, who was 13 at the time, and another teen were caught on video using a stun gun on Anwar in March near National Parks before driving off with the victim clinging to the vehicle.

The older girl, who was 15 at the time, pleaded guilty to murder and last month was handed down the same sentence as her younger accomplice, the report said.

Other charges lodged against the girls were dropped as part of their plea deals with prosecutors.

These girls should have been waved to an adult court, any other race this would have happened.

We are starting to the system being compromised, ignoring the crime done instead of focusing on the color of one’s skin. This is a sure way to get the American public to lose what little faith they have left in the system; how is any of this helping?

In other cases, murderers, rapiest, people who assaulted others are being set free because they are black; how is this giving any credit to the system. What is worse, if this continues, you are going to bring vigilantism back into the system. Years ago, when locals saw what they thought was corrupt sentencing to people in power, sometimes for people of color, they took matters into their own hands, storming jails, taking out the people, and hanging them. Is this what we want to see come back?

I don’t want to see racism come back to America, but doing things like this is going to drive many to extremism. We need to stop this, justice is supposed to be blind, maybe we need to start putting the blindfold back on her.
