AOC, not Wishing To Be Left Out With The Gains From BLM claims: ‘Latinos Are Black, We Are Afro-Latina’

Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez  (D-NY) has claimed that “Latinos are black” in response to questions about racism within the Latino community.

The far-left Democrat then called for “conversations around ‘colorism'” during an interview with Telemundo.

“What do you think the Latinx community should do to stop racism among them and among other races?” AOC was asked.

AOC replied:

“A lot of times I’ll hear people say, ‘OK, this is about Black Lives Matter, what about Latinos?’ and I always say, Latinos are black!”

“We are Afro-Latina, and we run an entire racial spectrum.”

She continued:

“We have to have conversations around ‘colorism,’ and we have to have conversations about the African and indigenous roots from which we come and how that’s reflected in systems of power, wealth inequality, and frankly, our political system.”

AOC’s comments quickly brought about outrage on social media, being one of the first people to scream about stealing culture from others, turns out she was doing nothing but trying to jump on the victim train you see with Black Lives Matter.

But this isn’t the first time Ocasio-Cortez seemed to be confused about race.

Last year, AOC called for all Latino people to be exempt from immigration laws because they are “native” to the United States.

The Congresswoman made the comments during a speech vowing to defund U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“We are standing on Native land, and Latino people are descendants of Native people,” she said.

“And we cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity and our status.”

One should hardly be surprised; the left’s mantra is to claim victimization, the claim you are part of whoever you feel is being victimized.

The sad truth is that blacks aren’t being victimized, well, other than by their people, but they have been taught for so long they are that they seek someone, anyone, to blame rather than look within, where the problem lies.

Next year maybe AOC will claim that Latinos are Jews, or perhaps Native Americans. Who knows, could it be Asians next?
