Day One Of House Judicial Impeachment Hearings

In what is of note, the first day of the impeachment hearings with the judicial oversight committee, we have seen once more the outright bias shown in the hearings. The Democrats did not bring one actual witness that heard or had any part of what they are claiming is a crime; instead, they brought in 3 Law Professors which stood against Trump, obviously highly partisan witnesses, the later stood with the GOP, asking where this will lead to in the future.

Johnathan Turley, after hearing the first 45 minutes of the democratic profs attacking Trump, we then heard Turley refute the cases that were quoted, the change of the definition of the term Bribery. What he did say was that impeachment has to be done with proof, not a feeling.

Turley then went into the 3rd article of impeachment against Nixon, that this applied equally to Trump. He then went on to say this made it illegal for the president to use executive privilege to withhold information from Congress. Further, to say that he can’t go to the courts is a gross violation of the right of the president.

He goes on to expose the historical facts behind the Johnson impeachment in the 1800s, how the Republicans at the time set up Johnson with a trap. He had no way out, then used his actions to try to impeach him, said this case with Trump is more like this case than the ones against Clinton or Nixon.

What is more interesting, we have the Congress led by Schiff, Nadler, and Pelosi trying to put a pure partisan impeachment through to undo the Trump election of 2016. Still, their view of this was far different when Clinton was the focus of an investigation, and he had lied to Congress under oath.

I am amazed how badly the left is contradicting themselves, turns out when it is a Democrat they were outraged, said that what was done to Clinton, even after he lied under oath, this was not enough for impeachment. Yet, all they can do is claim crimes exist, yet they can’t also provide proof that both sides find acceptable, they are doing to Trump what they railed against with Clinton. Can we say, hypocrites?

Also, a crime is not a crime if it has the potential to be committed, such as Feldman claimed, there has to be action, intent without actions is not a crime. The question to ask is this, “If you intend to kill someone, but you don’t do it, are you guilty of a crime if your intent was not acted upon?”

Are our thoughts now a crime?

Further, to claim that Trump held up aid, when it was stopped during a new election, then resumed with nothing being demanded from the new government, that is not a crime.

Let’s explore this further, the president asked Ukrain to look into the matter with a company, it so happened that is what Hunter Biden worked for, but there is zero evidence that aid was withheld, so the left is saying by even asking Trump should be impeached.

Yet, the three Democrats, some who are sitting in judgment of Trump wrote this letter to Ukraine:

Letter from Sens. Menendez, Durbin, and Leahy to Lutsenko, May 4, 2018: We are writing to express great concern about reports that your office has taken steps to impede cooperation with the investigation of United States Special Counsel Robert Mueller. As strong advocates for a robust and close relationship with Ukraine, we believe that our cooperation should extend to such legal matters, regardless of politics. Ours is a relationship built on a foundation of respect for the rule of law and accountable democratic institutions. In four short years, Ukraine has made significant progress in building these institutions despite ongoing military, economic and political pressure from Moscow. We have supported that capacity-building process and are disappointed that some in Kyiv appear to have cast aside these principles in order to avoid the ire of President Trump. If these reports are true, we strongly encourage you to reverse course and halt any efforts to impede cooperation with this important investigation.

So let me see if I understand this, Trump as the president is threatening the Ukrainians, this is very wrong the left says, yet with the world knowing the Democrats in the house control the purse, them doing what they are screaming about Trump doing is not impeachable or wrong?
