Illinois Restaurant ticketed for Flying American Flag, Large Protests In Favor of Owner

In Prairie Grove, Illinois, a small business owner was cited twice and fined $200 by the village for flying American flags outside his restaurant around the Fourth of July.
Things today have gotten so far out of hand; the liberals are now trying to punish patriotic Americans for daring to fly our flag on Independence day, something we have done for the last two hundred plus years.
Terry Trobiani, the owner of Gianelli’s, says he placed two flags along the road in front of his business to celebrate Independence Day; one is a US flag, the other a flag that honors our heroes in the Police and Fire departments. This was a violation the people in charge were not willing to stand for.

Yet, it did not stop there; he then posted a sign on his window, telling people why he took the flag down; he was fined again $200 for daring to share what was going on.

American patriots were not going to tolerate this. Many called owner, Trobiani, showing support; over the past few days, protestors have shown up outside his business flying American flags to show their displeasure of the unpatriotic town council.

What is worse, the owner says even if he agrees to pay the tickets, which we hope he will appeal, he says the township is now demanding he sign a Soviet-style letter admitting his guilt.
The Village is trying to deny his claim; the problem is they have made it a law that the flag can’t be flown, then added a law that he could not put up signs showing the fines they gave him. Trobiani says:
“They have a permanent ban on temporary signage, so by designating the American flag as a sign, it falls into their sign ordinance. So they’re saying it’s not about the flag, it is about the flag.”
“If it was actually about the position of the flag or the display of the flag, they should have ticketed me for that and they didn’t.”

Like the truly committed hypocrite he is, David Underwood, the Democrat president of Prairie Grove’s Board, called Trobiani “disgraceful” for “using the flag as a tool to further his business interests.” He said that the flags could have blown into the road in his weak excuse as to why the citations were issued.
No surprise there, just the sight of an American flag triggers these Marxists.
It is pathetic that we have gotten to the point that now Liberals are attacking people for daring to share patriotism.
