Michigan’s Governor Whitmer Faces Backlash for shredding Constitutional rights

Michigan’s Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is facing massive backlash over shredding of Michigan’s resident’s constitutional rights with her draconian orders to stay at home, even cutting off family gatherings, visiting with neighbors next door, shutting down isles in grocery stores for selling what she considers as nonessential. This is all done in what she deems as a necessary response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Whitmer’s order says residents are now prohibited from visiting family or friends, with exceptions for providing care, as the state currently has the third-highest number of COVID-19 cases with upwards of 21,000.

“[A]ll public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring among persons not part of a single household are prohibited,” the order says. It also places restrictions on what types of businesses may operate and in what capacity, leading to criticism of the Democratic governor from state lawmakers.

“OUR Governor IS DESTROYING OUR HEALTH BY KILLING OUR LIVELIHOODS!” Republican State Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey posted on Facebook, repeating the statement two more times in the same post “because I am obsessed with making sure everyone understands what’s happening.”

Whitmer is cut from the same cloth of other Democrat Governors that are doing the same, even telling churchgoers that were attending service in a parking lot with their windows closed that they had no civil rights, they were suspended. These governors have stopped short of a total suspension of civil rights or habeas corpus since the president can only do this, although governors can for a brief period.

To go to citizens and inform them that their civil rights are suspended is a line too far, some residents are saying, “No, this is not in a time of war, you will not suspend my right to worship, to force me to stay inside, out of my yard or from contacting family!”

What we are starting to see is a massive push-back on these draconian restrictions, ones that go far beyond the public health or safety of the citizens.

What is worse, what the governor and Democrats think is essential or not in the state:

At this point I am at the place that I think massive civil disobedience is called for, maybe we should take a chapter out of the leftist playbook, tell the governor to go to hell, everyone pulls out their lawn chairs and sit in their front yard, the police can’t arrest everyone.

Churches should all hold services in their parking lot, do so in a safe manner, they can purchase short-range FM broadcast equipment, it will reach their constituents. If all the churches do this, there is nothing that could be done.

This shows something far more sinister; this shows what the Democrats are willing to do if they are given unlimited power. Our civil rights are nothing but an inconvenience to them. The constitution is something that should be discarded; it does not give them the rights they want to force their ideology on the rest of the nation.

We are looking at a testbed, something the Democrats want to see, how America will react if our civil rights are stripped, I would say we, at this present time, are going about like sheep, letting the governors take our rights as they please.

I am a firm believer in supporting our government, but only so long as it is supporting our constitutional rights, if it is intent on taking them away, on stripping them as we see now, maybe it is time we take this to heart come election time, the Synagogues and Churches need to make sure come November they remind their members what these governors did.

We need to go to our neighbors, make sure they are all reminded of the stripping of our rights that came so easy by these leaders, it is up to us to ensure this never happens again.

This is what the left wants for this nation on permanent bases, it is up to us to make sure they don’t get what they want. As for the GOP mayors allowing this nonsense, people like the City of Greenville’s Mayor Knox H. White faces a reasonable prospect of never winning another election. We need to make sure GOP members that have gone along with this will be lucky to get a job as a dog catcher when this is all done.

Whitmer should be totally ignored. She has way over stepped her authority. Folks should band together taking into consideration the 6′ rule and march to her residence every midnight until she comes to her senses. Let her know this is not a communist country now or will it ever be no matter how hard the democrats try.

I for one have called for class action lawsuits on differnet levels…1st for making all Sheriffs in our state to violate their oaths of office.
2nd for slandered comments directed at the poor in our state. 3rd for directly violating our Constitutional rights. The final is a date with our supreme court for abusing authority of her office….you are welcome!
