Moves Toward Criminal Prosecution For Brett Kavanaugh’s Accusers.

We have seen the first move in response to these false allegations against Kavanaugh, if you are going to make them, if they are found to have zero credibility, you will be referred to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution. Some may scream about this, but this is excellent news, if you are going to conspire to try to stop a candidate from being put into a position, and think that fake allegations are enough to stop him, if you are caught, you should be punished.

As reported by BPR, Last Monday an unnamed male accuser contacted Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse to accuse Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge of having sexually assaulted a “close acquaintance” 33 years ago on a boat in Newport, Rhode Island:

Instead of performing any due diligence, Whitehouse promptly forwarded the allegations to his fellow members on the Senate Judiciary Committee, who subsequently broached the allegations with Kavanaugh during a phone interview Tuesday.

“The event took place on a 36-foot maroon and white 12 boat in the harbor at Newport, Rhode Island, after the three had met at a local bar,” an unspecified committee member revealed to the SCOTUS nominee during the interview, according to a transcript.

“According to [the anonymous complainant], when he learned of the assault at approximately 5:00 a.m. that same morning, he and another individual went to the harbor, located the boat the victim had described and physically confronted the two men, leaving them with significant injuries.”

The unnamed accuser then buried the issue for 33 years, up until the moment he saw Kavanaugh on television and recognized him as the man who’d allegedly raped his “close acquaintance.”

A day after the committee revealed the not-yet-publicized allegation to Kavanaugh, someone used a Twitter account with the name “Jeffrey Catalan” to recant it:

Chairman Grassley then sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Chris Wray requesting the “materially false statements” be referred for criminal investigation.

On Wednesday, the Committee publicly released a redacted transcript of that interview, with the unidentified man’s name redacted.

“Afterwards, at 7:51 pm that same evening, [the man] ‘recanted’ and apologized for his allegation via social media,” Grassley wrote. “I have enclosed the relevant materials documenting these facts.”

“The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know,” Grassley said in the letter. “But when individuals provide fabricated allegations to the Committee, diverting Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations, it materially impedes our work. Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal.”

“It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements to Congressional investigators, he continued. “It is illegal to obstruct Committee investigations.”

“Accordingly, in light of the seriousness of these facts, and the threat these types of actions pose to the Committee’s ability to perform its constitutional duties, I hope you will give this referral the utmost consideration,” Grassley wrote.

We now are starting to see the committee acting the way they should, if you are found to have had made false accusations, or if the FBI finds your accusation not credible, then you should be passed on to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution.

But that is not far enough, if it is found that there is a conspiracy to stop this nomination, that this whole charade against Kavanaugh was planned and acted out by the Democrats with false accusations, then we not only need to go after the ones making false statements, we need to go after the leaders of this conspiracy, doesn’t matter how far up the halls of power this goes, everyone needs to know, they are not above the law. To break the law to further your political agenda should not get you more power, it should have your power stripped from you as you take up residence behind bars due to criminal prosecution filed against you.
