NAACP Attack The NFL, Demands They Drop FOX Due To Their Support Of Trump And His Supporters

As if Colleges were not crazy enough, they now are thinking they have a right to force their “wokeness” on the rest of America.

We have seen the NFL lose fans over how they have sided up with BLM, yet this is not enough; the NAACP is now pushing, no, more like demanding that the league drop all ties to FOX.

Even as the league chose to sidle up to the Black Lives Matter and other race-baiting initiatives — losing viewers in the process — it hasn’t stopped the NAACP from pushing for even more self-destructive action by the NFL.

In a scathing letter to league commissioner Roger Goodell on March 9, Derrick Johnson, president, and chief executive officer of the NAACP, urged the league to cut ties with Fox during the NFL’s annual broadcasting rights negotiations, according to USA Today.

“The NAACP is going after Fox News in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection (on the U.S. Capitol),” ABC’s Beatrice-Elizabeth Peterson tweeted about the letter.

“The civil rights group is asking the National Football League to reconsider its relationship with the network,” she wrote, mentioning that the NAACP had “requested a meeting with NFL brass.”

Johnson said she had “grave concerns about the ancillary implications of the League’s affiliation with Fox” because contract money would help fund the network’s news portion, which he charged “continues to inflame racial division and propagate an unstable political climate.”

“The NFL’s programming should not be used as a bargaining tool for Rupert Murdoch to help fund Fox News’ hatred, bigotry, lies, and racism,” Johnson wrote.

“Fox Corporation is a behemoth organization, owning a long list of major media outlets, including Fox Sports and Fox News,” the letter continued.

“The latter is a uniquely destructive force. Fox News foments racism, undermines public health recovery from the pandemic, and repeatedly attacks the legitimacy of last year’s Presidential election, a propagandistic ploy that fueled the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.”

In a typical manner, the liberals ignored that only around 50 people broke into the capital; despite months of investigation, the FBI or the Justice Department can find any insurrection evidence. Instead, this is starting to look more and more like this was staged. What is more, they ignore over $1.5 billion in damages caused by Black Lives Matter riots, the loss of lives, cities left looking like war zones that were not racist; only the protests in Washington were.

After screaming about racism, she then went on to say over 70% of the NFL’s players was black, and by showing the NFL games on FOX, it was not benefiting these players. I must ask, “So the billions paid to the NFL, the millions these players make, is not beneficial to them?”

It turns out Derrick Johnson and ABC’s Beatrice-Elizabeth Peterson have missed out on one essential element, something the NFL has come to start to realize. The networks are paying money because we watch the games, not because they are doing this for some social experiment. If they continue to turn off viewers with their “wokeness,” they will continue to see viewers bleed, thus seeing further erosion of people watching the games.

This has a trickle-down effect; yes, the NFL did sign a record deal, but what happens if the viewership continues on its current trend? The NFL knows there is a point to push. They will then start to see the drop-off of money brought in due to advertisers not being willing to pay more money for a shrinking market. This is basic economics.

The NAACP does not realize this, nor do they care. They are another far-left organization that has chosen to put politics ahead of their mission. In the end, many of us could care less what they want or demand; what they demand is America capitulate to wokeness, that will never be allowed to happen.
