Nancy Pelosi Trying To Blackmail Pence, Either Remove Trump Or We Will
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Sunday that the House of Representatives would move to impeach President Donald Trump again after some of his supporters stormed Capitol Hill last week.
“In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both,” she wrote in a letter to Democrat colleagues in the House.
Pelosi said that the president represents an “ongoing assault on our democracy” that requires immediate action.
She said that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer would request unanimous consent to bring up a resolution by Rep. Jamie Raskin calling for Vice President Mike Pence to activate the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
“We are calling on the Vice President to respond within 24 hours,” she said.
If the vice president fails, Pelosi said, she will bring up an impeachment resolution on the following day.
She said that the act to impeach the president again would require “great solemnity” going forward.
“Thank you for your patriotism,” she wrote, concluding the letter, “Prayerfully, Nancy Pelosi.”
Pelosi’s ongoing delay would make it significantly more difficult for Democrats to impeach the president before leaving office, demonstrating that the process will again be more of a political exercise.
On Friday, President-elect Joe Biden avoided taking a position on impeaching the president again with only a few more days left in office, saying he would leave it up to Congressional Democrat leaders.
“It is time for him to go,” Biden said, adding, “The quickest way that that will happen is us getting sworn in.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell released a memo last week on what the Senate will do if the House of Representatives votes again to impeach Trump. He noted the earliest possible date that the Senate could begin the process would be January 19, one day before President-elect Joe Biden takes office.
The actual impeachment trial, McConnell explained, would theoretically begin after Trump’s term is over.
It turns out all the talk about unity is no longer important to Democrats; they will further split this nation by enraging almost half the nation does not matter. Their hatred for Trump is far greater than their love for this nation.
What is not said is Trump told the people to assemble and protest peacefully; between 500,000 and 700,000 did, yet there was a small group between three and four dozen that broke into the capital and violated the law, something Trump immediately sent out Tweets asking for peace, then sent out the national guard to ensure there was peace. This is all ignored; the Democrats used this to beat the GOP into submission. Sadly most were too cowardly to stand up to them.
After a year of telling us how wrong we were to judge the protestors with Black Lives Matter by the actions of a few, in this case, thousands each time, we are told now that it is acceptable to judge the many by the actions of three to four dozen by the Democrats. While I find what these people did was wrong, would never support their actions, what did they in reality do? Break into the capital, look at the Senate and House chambers? Someone sat on Pelosi’s desk; another stole her podium. That was it.
One case where a police officer died, yet we are finding out this may not have been done by Trump protestors. We are now seeing evidence Antifa and other groups were mixed with the crowd. We saw a flag-burning, something we had never seen before. We saw people yelling “Antifa” as people were trying to break into the capital building, other patriots attacking these people and pulling them away.
None of this is mentioned; instead, we have tight pictures where the rest of the building is not shown (they did this with the Biden rallies). Working with photography for years, this is a means to try to create an illusion you had larger crowds than there really was. Look at every photo of the Capital break-in. I challenge anyone to find one inside the building that shows more than 40 people (and the photos are of the same people), it can’t be done, yet we are being painted a picture that somehow hundreds of thousands were involved in this.
Biden told us if BLM had stormed the capital, things would have been different; I would say he is right. By past actions, I would say they would have looted everything they could have gotten their hands on, shot at the police; they would have then burned the capital building to the ground. So would there have been a different reaction to them, Joe? Yes, because there would have been a far different outcome of them breaking into the capital then what happened this last week.
