Other Nations Now Want to Move Their Embassies To Jerusalem

In a move shortly after Trump announced his plan to move the embassy to Jerusalem and his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, other nations are now reconsidering their stance. Some may not recognize all of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital but have spoken of moving their embassy to the part of the city they recognize.

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte sent a message to Israel that he wanted to move his country’s embassy to the capital, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reported Wednesday. Duterte informed Israel that he wanted to move his country’s embassy to the capital.  On the same day, the Czech Republic said it recognizes West Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, adding that it “considers Jerusalem to be the future capital of both states, meaning the State of Israel and the future State of Palestine.”
In addition to the Philipeans, the Czech Republic and the USA, an unnamed Nation in Eastern Europe have also said they should announce their move shortly as well.

In response to this Israel’s Prime Minister stated “We are in contact with other countries that will recognize similar recognition, and I have no doubt that as soon as the U.S. Embassy moves to Jerusalem and before that, more embassies will also move,”
