New York Covid Testing and Treatment: White People Need Not Apply

By Robert Spencer and Timothy Benton

Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of a day when people would be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. That day has not yet dawned in New York, at least when it comes to Covid testing and treatment. On December 27, the New York State Department of Health issued a memo to health care providers and facilities on the authorization and “severe shortage” of oral antiviral and monoclonal antibody treatments for Covid, directing that non-white people be given priority for such treatments. Meanwhile, white people are also being passed over for Covid testing in New York City.

The New York State Health Department’s memo stipulated five conditions for allowing patients access to oral antiviral treatments. One of them was that they “have a medical condition or other factors that increase their risk for severe illness.” The department specified that “non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor, as longstanding systemic health and social inequalities have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19.”

This is not science; it’s race-hate mythology on the order of the Nation of Islam’s febrile nightmare of the demonic Dr. Yakub concocting the white race on the island of Madagascar. There is absolutely no way to determine whether or not black and Hispanic people are at greater risk of getting an airborne viral infection because of past or present racism. What’s more, the department’s assumption can be turned on its head, with white New Yorkers arguing that they’re being sent to the back of the line for oral antiviral treatments is systemic racism that is endangering their health.

And it’s not just this one Health Department memo. The New York Post reported Saturday that “New York City health officials have been using race to help decide how to allocate precious coronavirus testing resources, leaked emails from the agency show.” Briana Nasti, a staffer for City Councilman Joe Borelli, informed the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that “our office has received calls regarding the mobile NYC H+H [Hemoglobin and Hematocrit] testing sites such as Wolfes Pond Park. It appears many are waiting with delays and are being turned away after waiting for hours.” The department responded by saying they were prioritizing “neighborhoods flagged by the city’s Taskforce on Racial Inclusion & Equity. The task force, created by the de Blasio administration in 2020, identified 31 underserved neighborhoods to receive ‘priority’ attention from the city.”

The Taskforce on Racial Inclusion & Equity said priority neighborhoods were chosen based on their “health status, living conditions, social inequities, occupation, and COVID-19 Wave 1 impact,” without explaining how exactly these were assessed. On this basis, the primarily white, middle-class South Shore of Staten Island was not prioritized. Councilman Borelli was blunt: “I think we are clearly not on their racial and ethnic rubric priority list.” He added that “there was no problem pointing fingers at the South Shore of Staten Island when it came to sending enforcement goons” to make sure that local businesses were complying with rules barring the unvaccinated from entry.

City officials openly admitted that they weren’t distributing resources equally. According to a Health Department spokesperson, this was because minority communities had “borne the brunt of this pandemic due to structural racism.” The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene claimed that it was “committed to improving health outcomes for all New Yorkers by explicitly advancing racial equity and social justice.” However, racial equity and social justice did not mean equal treatment of all people regardless of race: “Racial equity does not mean simply treating everyone equally, but rather, allocating resources and services in such a way that explicitly addresses barriers imposed by structural racism [i.e., policies and institutional practices that perpetuate racial inequity] and White privilege.”

The irony was thicker than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. To avoid perpetuating racial inequality, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene discriminated against white people, promoting racial inequality. The anti-racists, to end racism, have become as racist as Bull Connor. Only those who have impeccable “Mental Hygiene,” that is, have been thoroughly brainwashed, could believe that discrimination based on race will end by discriminating based on race. A new era of justice will dawn.

Will New York City’s new mayor, Eric Adams, put an end to this madness? Or will New York City, and the entire state, continue on its Orwellian path of racial hatred and division? The smart money, as always, is on the latter.

Notes from the Editor

I have told people for years, “Be careful with what you start; you may not like how this ends!”

We have seen Jim Crow type of laws starting to come into effect, where whites are told to go to the back of the line; in this case, if you need Covid testing, don’t bother. We are only giving this out to minorities.

Here is the problem, and it is a huge one. A small population of whites is pushing this idiocy; the rest of us want to be left alone in peace. But when we make up over 70% of the population, what do you think will happen when this large percentage of the population starts to see their parents, siblings, and children die off because they are refused medical attention due to their race?

We worked hard as a nation to overcome racism. We fought a civil war where brothers fought against brothers to end this, yet the very ones that started the civil war are now trying to bring back this racism and divide that separated this nation for so long.

I have had African Americans argue this, but I have asked, “You want equality, so you are doing this by discriminating against whites? What will you do then when this type of action brings mass racism against you? You say you are standing up to racism, yet your actions are driving people right into the arms of these racists; it makes no sense.”

The truth is this has nothing to do with equality, which was reached years ago; this is about punishment, the demand that Blacks and other minorities are given more political power than their numbers justify. We now hear from people within the Left telling whites not to run for office, to let minorities do this; I must inquire, “Why?”

Our nation is built on the idea of representation; the fact that this is now demanding not to be equally applied is something that should worry everyone.

Butt this is not the real reason Democrats are supporting this anti-White nonsense; they do so because the majority of conservatives are white. Thus they see the problem with challenges to their power coming from whites. Many minorities are starting to see a problem with the racism the Left is pushing; they see them as misled people, they talk condescendingly to them, acting like the whites somehow brainwashed them.

When she was still with us, my wife used to say this drove her crazy; she would talk to people from the Left. Some, including my family members (die-hard liberals), said I brainwashed her. She would growl at me for hours, asking me, “Do they think I can’t think for myself?”

The Left thinks if you disagree with them, you can’t think for yourself; they then need to take on the responsibility of thinking for you. To ensure themselves of controlling this, they want to control the gateway of all information you have access to. This way, they manage your information, thus controlling how you come to your conclusions.

To ensure themselves of controlling this, they want to control the gateway of all information you have access to. This way, they manage your information, thus controlling how you come to your conclusions.

In the end, with the Left’s attempts to control our information, how we are to think, then discriminating who gets healthcare or attention from the government, changing the laws of prosecution for crimes depending on your skin color, we are in extreme danger of pushing this nation back to where we were racially right after the civil war. When you start as a group to try to oppress the majority, a well-armed one at that, you risk having this backfire and do so dangerously and violently.

Do not misunderstand what I am saying here; I am not calling for this, I am Jewish, I know where this type of thing can lead to, I am warning that if this doesn’t stop, you could push the majority of the population into something they don’t want, but will feel is needed for the sake of their protection and security.

We need to fight this by showing up in school board meetings, city hall meetings and by encouraging others to go vote. Much of this has happened due to apathy; if we sit peacefully in our secure little corner, this will affect us. I hate to break it to you. This is coming to your little corner; it is being demanded to take over all. The only thing we can do now is shine a light of truth on it and fight.
