Newsom Survives Recall by Attacking Trump Voters
Newsom had a $75 million war chest thanks to leftist celebrities and donors like George Soros and corporations.
Trump gave Democrats an opening when he claimed Monday, “Does anybody really believe the California Recall Election isn’t rigged? Millions and millions of Mail-In Ballots will make this just another giant Election Scam, no different, but less blatant, than the 2020 Presidential Election Scam!”
Much like when Democrats won two crucial Georgia U.S. Senate elections in January, Newsom appeared thrilled that Trump inserted himself into the race, as liberals believe the former president keeps suburban moderates in their tent, especially in California.
Advertisements supporting Newsom described Elder as a “Trump Republican.” President Joe Biden, rallying for Newsom on Monday, called Elder the “closest thing to a Trump clone,” adding: “You either keep Gavin Newsom as your governor or you’ll get Donald Trump,” even though Elder disagrees with Trump on free trade and reducing troops in Afghanistan.
Gavin Newsom will keep his job despite being one of the most psychotic authoritarian COVID governors in America and an all-around awful human being.
Black Republicans give Democrats night sweats. They don’t view the electorate as a collection of individuals; they only see racial, ethnic, and gender voting blocs. It’s a delicate ecosystem of lies and false promises that can be thrown completely out of balance if members of one of those blocs deviate from the hive mind and begin voting based on their self-interest.
It wasn’t the thought of a Trump Republican becoming governor that got Democrats to ignore what a craptastic governor Newsom has been and vote to keep him; it was the fear of a Black Republican who violates their bigoted, narrow worldview.
Well, that and they’re idiots who like being treated like third-class citizens in 1970s East Berlin.
California is so far gone that getting rid of Newsom wouldn’t save it. That’s still true. Even if he had been recalled and Elder had become governor, no lasting change would have happened. The initial thrill of deposing Newsom would have soon yielded to the harsh reality that Republican support for Elder in Sacramento would have been more impotent than a male feminist drum circle that spends weekends chanting pronoun preferences.
I loved California when I lived there in the 1980s; now, you could not pay me enough to go back there. Sadly, I have family members who live there and think homelessness, one of the highest crime rates in the nation, drug addicts and needles, along with feces in the streets are good, so long as they have a fenced-in park with security, they can deal with it, I say let them. Sadly they are liberals; liberals are willingly blind to facts, one should not be surprised. It reminds me of Nero, blissfully playing a fiddle while the city burns around him.
