The FBI IS At It Again, Stonewalling Congress Over Their Framing Of Flynn

One has to wonder, when will the leadership of the FBI ever learn, or are they so corrupt in their positions that there is no fix for this organization?

I am a firm believer in law and order; without it, society will fail, the protection we come to expect would not be there. But when the faith in these institutions is shaken due to them thinking they are above the law, something they take a vow to protect, we run into huge problems, soon the very thing created to fight corruption is the most corrupt of all.

When Congress request you answer to their summons so they can do what they were designed to do, have oversight, you are the problem; you have to go.

Please don’t get me wrong; there is plenty wrong with Congress right now, they have so over-politicized their workings that the Democrats are ignoring the law to push their agenda. They have trampled on the constitutions to rid themselves of Trump, giving glowing praise and support for the coup d’état we saw attempted against Trump, but this does not then give the other institutions the right to run off as their own fiefdom’s, unanswerable to anyone.

Yet. as we saw with Comey, the FBI is now once more saying they are not answerable to Congress, This has led to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, to tweet:

“Where is Christopher Wray?”

He didn’t stop there; he included with his tweet where Director Wray was asked to submit paperwork about the Flynn investigation, which he up to now refuses to give up or talk about.

While I understand the Democrats are going out of their way to demonize Flynn, this is their roundabout way of attacking Trump, the GOP has no interest in this, so why the refusal? Or is it that Wray, like others before him, thinks he is above the law?

Finally, tiring of this, the House Judiciary committee is bypassing Director Wray, instead directly issuing invites to Bill Priestap and Joe Pientka to appear before their committee. It is understood that these ‘invites’ are orders, if you don’t show up, expect a subpoena to follow shortly.

Flynn issued other equivocal responses to FBI agents’ questions, and at various points, suggested that such conversations might have happened or that he could not recall them if they did, according to the 302. But questions remained as to the strength of the FBI’s case.

Then-FBI Director James Comey admitted in 2018 that the Flynn interview at the White House didn’t follow protocol and came at his direction. He said it was “something I probably wouldn’t have done or maybe gotten away within a more… organized administration.”

Wray, earlier this year, suggested in testimony that several agents could be under internal investigation by the FBI.

“As for current employees, there are what I would call more line-level employees who were involved in some of the events in the report, all of those employees … were referred to our Office of Professional Responsibility, which is our disciplinary arm,” Wray said. He did not elaborate.

There was also action on the Senate side on Monday. After weeks of bombshell revelations highlighting apparent FBI misconduct in the cases of Page and Flynn, the Republican-controlled Senate on Monday took two significant steps toward launching its comprehensive probe into the matter — even as the Justice Department’s separate criminal investigation, led by U.S. Attorney John Durham, continues.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., specifically announced Monday that his panel would soon vote on a subpoena authorization related to the FBI’s apparent surveillance abuses. In a contentious interview, Graham recently told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo that Republicans would conduct a proper investigation. Still, he was wary of interfering with the DOJ’s “ongoing criminal matter,” referring to Durham’s review.

Graham’s office announced in a statement that his subpoena authorization “covers a number of documents, communications, and testimony from witnesses, including [former FBI Director] James Comey, [former FBI Deputy Director] Andrew McCabe, [former Director of National Intelligence] James Clapper, [former CIA Director] John Brennan, [former Deputy Attorney General] Sally Yates and others.”

It is only a matter of time with the attention this is getting from leading Republicans until the truth comes out. The Democrats, who are desperate to silence this at all cost will put up blocks to try to silence this, but after November, could be powerless to stop this when Trump wins the re-election, and the GOP takes back over control of the House and extends their lead in the Senate.
