The Press: When All Credibility Is Lost
We saw over the weekend the liberal press start off on January 17, 2019, with an article that Trump had told his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress, next thing you know US Congressman and Senators from the Democratic side were gleefully saying this would result in an impeachment of Trump, every news site set off to start their echo box where each liberal reporter happily said the beginning of the end is upon us, then Mueller came along and threw a wrench in the whole thing.
The next day, after hearing the talking heads gleefully counting the time until Trump is impeached the Special Counsel Office did what they have not done before, released a statement saying the claims by Buzz Feed were fake, they were inaccurate in their claims.
“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” said Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office, in a statement.
Now things should have stopped here, the press should have issued their apology, said their information was incorrect, maybe even expose their sources, for they made them hold the bag, looking like fools, but that is not what has happened.
BuzzFeed, which by the time have lost all credibility, this is not the first time they have done this sort of thing, but they refuse to pull back the story, instead, they are demanding the Special Counsel Office give an explanation to them (like they have such a right).
It did not stop here either, you had MSNBC, CNN come out and say that not all part of the report were disputed, they did not know what was and wasn’t, so it is obvious that some type of wrongdoing was done, when one of their people came on and scolded them, said this type of thing gives force to the claim they are fake news, he was rejected.
We are at the point where news, even if fake is
And the news wonders why no one trust them any longer.
