Theresa May Should Focus On Radical Islamic Problem

A series of retweets by President Trump caused a firestorm of leftist fury. Trump retweeted three videos displaying violence perpetrated by radical Islamic followers in Europe and around the world.
Trump retweeted the videos from Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of an organization called Britain First. Britain First may sound familiar to a common Trump slogan: America first.
Britain First carries the same essence as America First. They want British politicians to put the interests of British citizens first, especially when it comes to immigration. Britain First is a pro-Christian organization that is skeptical of the European Union and Islamic immigration.
Trump’s retweets and implicit endorsement of Britain First spurred a reaction from British Prime Minister Theresa May.
May’s spokesman said in a statement: “Britain First seeks to divide communities by their use of hateful narratives that peddle lies and stoke tensions. They cause anxiety to law-abiding people.”
Perhaps the British citizens should have a sense of anxiety: they are facing more and more radical Islamic crime than ever.
One example is the rapid increase in acid attacks. Acid attacks are a form of assault in which the perpetrator, typically a Muslim, throws corrosive substances onto the body of someone else. Acid attacks result in permanent scars and disfigurement.
In the United Kingdom, there have been over 450 acid attacks in 2016. That is double from the number in 2014.
The majority of the attacks occur in London, which has turned into a Muslim hotbed in recent years. Currently, Muslims account for over 12% of London’s population. In addition, Muhammed is the most common baby name in London.
With the increase of Muslims, there has been an increase in overall violence and Islamic terror. There has been a 13 percent overall increase in crime in England and Wales and a 59 percent increase in murder offenses. These numbers are in part due to the radical Islamic terror attacks in London and Manchester.
Trump is well-aware of the current state of the United Kingdom, which is why he responded to Theresa May via Twitter. Trump wrote: “don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!”
That is precisely what Theresa May should do: focus on radical Islam in the United Kingdom.
