Trump calls for investigation Into Rep. Omar ‘ballot harvesting’

President Trump has called for an investigation into Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar for alleged “ballot harvesting” in Minnesota.

“This is totally illegal. Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review??? If not, why not???,” the president tweeted early Monday morning.

“We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement. Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!,” he continued.

The president was referring to a report from Project Veritas that implicates progressive “Squad” member Omar in an alleged cash-for-ballots scheme to gather absentee ballots illegally from Somali immigrants.

This started due to a video posted by Project Veritas late Sundian, Liban Mohamad, the brother of Minneapolis city counsel Jamal Osman, is shown with his car’s dashboard filled with ballets.

“Just today we got 300 for Jamal Osman,” Mohamed says in the video posted on July 1, according to the report. “I have 300 ballots in my car right now. … Numbers don’t lie. You can see my car is full. All these here are absentee ballots. … Look, all these are for Jamal Osman.”

“Ballot harvesting” is illegal in most states, and Minnesota law allows a third party to collect no more than three ballots.

Ilhan Omar was exposed by Omar Jamal, a community member in Minneapolis, who said the Congresswoman had Mohammad working for her.

“It’s an open secret. She will do anything that she can do to get elected and she has hundreds of people on the streets doing that,” Jamal told Project Veritas in an interview last week.

Mohamed accused Project Veritas of doctoring the video to take his comments out of context.

Rep. Omar posted a tweet shortly after midnight that linked to Trump’s calling for an investigation.

It included a video of a game show contestant unveiling a card showing $750, a reference to a New York Times report that said the president paid that amount in federal income tax in 2016.

Trump has warned that allowing millions of Americans to vote by mail this November would result in rampant fraud and taint the election results.
