Who’s on the hit list now that a top shareholder wants to see CNN ‘actually have journalists’ again?
We saw this tweet come up a week ago, and it intrigued us, but we couldn’t find much to back it up:
Now, one of the significant shareholders of the group that’s going to merge with AT&T has given an interview to CNBC, and he says he’d like to see CNN evolve back to the way it used to be and “actually have journalists.”
Actual journalists? So who’s first on the chopping block?
I could fill pages of this, but suffice it to say that the public seems to be demanding that all of the people in CNN go.
I think it is too far gone; they sacrificed all trust in their rush to be anti-everything Trump. They justified lying, spreading fake news all in their quest to rid themselves of him; there is no confidence in the network left.
Can they change it around? I doubt it; sometimes, you need to let the dying die. Reviving a corpse is not always a great idea; they are still dead.
Even if they start from the top to the bottom, begin firing all upper management, and work down to rid themselves of all the anchors and reporters, there will still be the issue of trust; no one believes in them anymore.
