Zuckerberg Admits On Rogan Show FBI Told Him Hunter Laptop Story Was Fake News

In what is starting to avalanche into overwhelming interference in the 2020 election, it was not the Russians that moved to affect the elections; rather, it was the intel services and our top law enforcement agency, the FBI. In a move that should surprise no one, the survivor, Zuckerberg is pulling a standard cover his butt move, trying to play the victim for his interference in the 2020 election, blaming the FBI for his actions.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the FBI approached Facebook warning the platform about “Russian propaganda” ahead of the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

On Thursday’s installment of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Zuckerberg was asked about Facebook’s suppression of the New York Post’s reporting that shed light on the shady foreign business dealings of the son of then-candidate Joe Biden.

Zuckerberg began by stressing how Facebook took a “different path” than Twitter, which completely censored the Post’s reporting while Facebook limited its reach on the platform.

“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us- some folks on our team and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert…  We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that, basically, there’s about to be some kind of dump of that’s similar to that. So just be vigilant,'” Zuckerberg told host Joe Rogan.

Zuckerberg then moved to try to proclaim his innocence by stating that Facebook users were “still allowed to share” the Post’s reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop even as their “third-party fact-checking program” was looking into whether it was misinformation, but acknowledged that the “ranking in [the] news feed was a little bit less” and that “fewer people saw it than would’ve otherwise.”

“By what percentage?” Rogan asked.

“I don’t know off the top of my head, but it’s meaningful,” Zuckerberg responded. “But we weren’t sort of as black and white about it as Twitter. We just kind of thought hey look, if the FBI, which I still view is a legitimate institution in this country, it’s a very professional law enforcement- they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something then I want to take that seriously.”

When asked if there was any “regret” about suppressing a story that turned out to be factual, Zuckerberg replied, “Yeah, yeah. I mean, it sucks.”

And this is where the moves to cover his butt start. Zuckerberg is trying to play the hapless victim, one manipulated by the FBI; I don’t buy this story for one second. Like most far-left supporters, he was willing to manipulate information to ensure that Trump would not win the election.

But this is more of a rouse; what is happening is people like him are in a panic. They know the GOP is going to take back the House and most likely the Senate as well. With both houses under the control of the GOP, the free reign of this interference will come under scrutiny; his actions will be called to task.

Knowing that this will come in the next few months, he is moving to play the victim, to direct attention away from the role he played in election interference in the last presidential election.

We need to put pressure on our representatives not to buy into this narrative and to look at the FBI, who is far from blameless in this, to see what can be done, if this organization is even salvageable.
